I am a clinical social work associate, working towards licensure as a clinical social worker. I approach therapy as an opportunity to have authentic healing relationships. To be able to have these healing relationships, it’s important to talk with you about your world and the people, things, and systems impacting your life. I believe most people already have the insights, strengths, and resiliencies they need to get through the tougher times in their lives. I believe my role is to help identify the strengths and wisdom you already hold while also highlighting the systemic and personal stuff in your world that is getting in the way of you living the life you want to lead. This work includes talking about our therapeutic relationship. The systems of power and domination that exist outside of therapy will also show up in our relationship. I welcome talking openly about power dynamics between us, in the history of psychology, and contemporary structures. I have experience working with trans and nonbinary people navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD, drug use, suicidal ideation, and self-harm.

My work is informed by feminist, queer, anti-oppressive, and critical race theories. I use trauma-aware and systems-focused modalities in my counseling practice. I work from a strengths-based, client-centered approach to counseling. I am white, grew up poor, and I am trans and nonbinary. I have been working for a decade to unlearn white supremacist thinking and being. I am kink and polyamorous aware and welcome you to bring your whole, complicated, weird self to our work together.
