Trans Women & Nonbinary femmes weekly hangout
Wednesdays 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Starts Feb 17, 2021
Facilitator: Danielle Meyer (she/her), Activist, Advocate
I identify as Transgender woman. I want to share the unique happiness that is living our true selves and I want to help other trans women at all stages in their journeys, to find their own peace and personal acceptance through engagement and sharing in a safe group environment. Additionally, I see it as vital to our individual success to have a connection with others who encounter similar hardships that we face in a world that is just beginning to accept trans-identities.
I have been a member of several trans support groups, and am excited to help facilitate this group. I have facilitated groups of nonprofit boards and municipal commissions. I was honored to serve as the chair of the City of Salem Human Rights Commission from 2018 to 2019 and to have started that commissions LGBTQIA+ Rights task force.
